Strictly Come Dancing 2016 Finalists – Ore and Joanne

Time for the first part in a three part series where I take a look at the three couples who will be participating in next weekend’s final and their Strictly journey so far. I’ll be running this series in the order they qualified for the final so kicking things off are Ore and Joanne

Best Dance

Ore and Joanne have scored 39 on two occasions this series. The first time was for their Jive in week 4 (9,10,10,10) something many people consider to be their standout dance and the point at which the judges and public took notice of Ore and Joanne as possible contenders

The second occasion came during last weekend’s semi final (9,10,10,10). The judges heaped praise on the routine but a lot of you in the comments were not quite as impressed as the judges

Worst Dance

You have to go back to the opening two weeks for their worst routines. Both weeks they scored 27 for their Tango (7,7,6,7) and their Cha Cha Cha (6,7,7,7)

Average Score

Ore and Joanne have amassed a total of 452 points from the judges across 13 routines making for an average score of 34.8. This is the lowest average of the 3 finalists

Number Of Times In The Dance Off

Ore and Joanne have survived two dance offs. The first time was in week 7 after their Salsa which scored 34 (8,8,9,9). They survived after beating Laura and Giovanni in the dance off

The second time was during week 11 after their Foxtrot scored 36 (9,9,9,9). This time they survived the dance off after beating Robert and Oksana

Odds Of Winning

At the time of writing Ore and Joanne are a 7-1 shot to lift the glitterball with Coral. If you fancy a flutter Coral will give new customers £20 in free bets when you stake £5 on Strictly or any other market.

Again at the time of writing 17% of visitors to this site want them to win in the latest poll currently running and in actual fact they are still lagging behind eliminated couple Claudia and AJ in that poll although they have been gaining ground since the last spoiler came in naming them as finalists!

Can they do it? They’d need a very strong final to be in with a shot as they are the clear outsiders at the moment but anything can happen if they pick up enough of the floating voters who only vote based on the final.

That said there does seem to be some ill feeling towards them from the public looking over comments here and on my social feeds due to some people feeling they were overmarked in the Semi Final in order to secure their place in the final. I’m not saying whether those feelings are right or wrong as I do try and stay impartial during my posts and comments on the show but the level of ill feeling currently happening may scupper their chances of winning regardless of how they dance.

This is also Joanne’s first final although her brother, Kevin, has been in 3 previous ones as well as this one so I’m sure he will have some tips for her. Though perhaps not too many since he will be competing against her for the glitterball!

What do you think of Ore and Joanne? Are you supporting them? Do you think they can win? Let me know in the comments section or over on Facebook or Twitter. It’s the final week of the Strictly Spoiler competition and your last chance to get involved in the discussion and win a prize. There’s a £20 Amazon voucher up for grabs and you could also win a Kindle Fire Tablet in the final monthly draw. Entries to the competition for this series close at midnight on Sunday 18th December 2016 and all you need to do to enter is get involved in the discussion here, on Facebook or on Twitter.

Stay tuned in the coming days for my write up on the remaining two finalists. Louise and Kevin will be next……

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – Week 12 Spoilers

Strictly had double the dances this week but I’ve still got double the spoilers because as well as checking out the normal weekly spoiler which follows you can also read the most talked about spoiler in the UK, as featured in too many newspapers and magazines to mention, it’s the Christmas Special Spoiler. But anyway enough of that, whose Strictly journey ended one week too soon and who has sailed into next week’s final. The Strictly Spoiler is on hand to reveal all, so here are the results:

Danny and Claudia had to dance off. The judges saved Danny. Claudia was eliminated.

The finalists are (in no particular order):

Ore and Joanne
Louise and Kevin
Danny and Oti

Complaints to the BBC

This week’s spoiler has come from an audience mole through my usual sources and should be accurate

Please take a couple of minutes to read this year’s thank you post where I thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the site this series, from yourselves to my sources and from my hosts to the BBC, I have a lot of thanks to give this series and I’m truly grateful to everyone who has contributed to the success of this site!

Congratulations to Mrs J Maskell who helped guide Twitter to victory in last week’s smackdown and has won the largest prize I have given away this series. A £100 Amazon UK voucher.

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – Week 12 Discussion/Poll

The end is in sight! It’s the Semi Final and the couples have not one but two dances to wow the public with. Who coped with the pressure of two routines and who is starting to crack?

You can let me know your thoughts on anything to do with tonight’s show right here in the comments section (make sure you are clicked into the article itself rather than the home page or the comments section won’t show below) or why not head on over to Facebook or Twitter (remember to tag @davejthorp and include #StrictlySpoiler on Twitter).

Each time you join in with the discussion you will earn entries into the final week of the Strictly Spoiler competition. I’m extending this week to include the whole of next weekend as well so you’ll be able to earn entries by discussing next week’s final as well. There is a £20 Amazon UK voucher up for grabs and the final Kindle Fire Tablet too!

The poll will open once all four couples have completed their second dance tonight. This week the question is once again different and you can only choose one option. Who is your winner of this series? Let me know when the poll opens.

The final spoiler will be incoming later tonight. In the meantime as well as joining the discussion and voting in the poll you can also read my 2016 Thank You Message where I thank all the people who have helped contribute to another huge year for the Strictly Spoiler. Or why not check out the most talked about spoiler this site has ever delivered: The Christmas Special Spoiler. As featured in The Daily Star, The Mirror, The Sun, The Daily Mail, Now Magazine, UniLad and more…….

The site has also had a facelift this week. If you have any issues using the site please let me know in the comments or on the social networks and I’ll take a look. I’m already aware of an issue with the sidebar adverts when viewed in portrait orientation on a tablet. I can’t do much about this at the moment as I’m having to use mostly fixed ad sizes at the moment due to an incompatibility with responsive ad sizes. The issue doesn’t affect site content and you can work around it by turning your tablet to landscape. If you spot any other issues please let me know

If you aren’t already liking The Strictly Spoiler on Facebook or following me on Twitter then why the hell not? The social networks give you even more chances to win prizes in the Strictly Spoiler Competition!

Please give this post some love using the buttons for all major social networks and Google+ above and below. Your likes and shares are important, really help me out and help to spread the word about The Strictly Spoiler.

As normal the spoiler should be incoming some time around 10pm. As soon as I get the news it will be posted to this site. Don’t forget you can also like The Strictly Spoiler on Facebook or Follow Me On Twitter if you would like to be alerted to when the spoiler is posted. As soon as the spoiler is posted here, alerts are automatically sent to both those social networks!
