Strictly Come Dancing 2022 Finalists – Fleur and Vito

Here we are with the final part in my four part guide where I look at each of the finalists and their Strictly journeys so far. As always I run this series in the order of qualification for the final and so we finish with Dance Off survivors Fleur and Vito

Worst Dance

We have to go back to Week 2 for their lowest scoring routine. Fleur and Vito scored, a still very respectable, 28 points for their Viennese Waltz (7,8,6,7)

Best Dance

Fleur and Vito are the only couple to have got Craig to dust the cobwebs off his 10 paddle. In Blackpool week their Couple’s Choice wowed all the judges getting what has proven to be a rare maximum this series (10,10,10,10). You will be seeing this routine again in the final as their favourite dance

Average Score

Fleur and Vito have amassed a total 449 points across 13 routines making for an average score of 34.5. They are only 3 points behind Molly and 4 points behind Hamza in terms of the judges scores

Number of times in the Dance Off

Fleur and Vito have survived a mammoth 4 Dance Offs on the way to the final. Their first came in Week 3’s Movies Week after their Little Mermaid inspired American Smooth (6,8,7,8). This was enough to dispense with Richie and Giovanni though with Shirley opting to go against the other judges and save Richie and Giovanni this dance off could have quite easily gone the other way.

The second occasion came in Halloween week. This time their Salsa (8,8,8,8) was enough to eliminate James and Amy in a unanimous Dance Off

They found themselves in the dance off again in week 10. This time their Rumba (8,9,9,9) made short work of Ellie T and Johannes in another unanimous decision

Finally they were in last weekend’s dance off. Dancing their Charleston again (9,10,10,10) they ended Will and Nancy’s journey though Anton tried to swing things the other way

Can they win?

No

You probably want a longer answer than that. Like Molly and Carlos they have survived four dance offs and it is a hard ask for someone to win from that position. Plus while Molly and Carlos seem to have some public support looking at my poll (currently 16.26%), Fleur and Vito have next to none (3.43%). Which is all rather odd because in terms of dance ability Fleur and Vito are right up there and they are the only couple to achieve a maximum so far. Their Argentine Tango wowed a lot of you in week 4 and I’m a bit surprised not to see that as the Judge’s Pick. I spoke of Molly and Carlos needing a massive shift in public support and Fleur and Vito need a monumental shift and would cause one of the biggest upsets in Strictly history if they were to somehow win

Strictly Come Dancing 2022 Finalists – Helen and Gorka

Here we are with the third part in my four part guide where I look at each of the finalists and their Strictly journeys so far. As always I run this series in the order of qualification for the final and so we continue with Helen and Gorka

Worst Dance

As it should be, you have to go all the way back to week 1 for Helen and Gorka’s lowest scoring routine. Their American Smooth scored, a still respectable, 26 (6,7,6,7) with the judges

Best Dance

Helen and Gorka have fallen short of a maximum on two occasions. The first occasion was at Blackpool when Craig denied them a maximum score for their Quickstep (9,10,10,10)

The second occasion was during Musicals week when once again Craig denied them a perfect score for their Couple’s Choice (9,10,10,10). You will be seeing this routine again during the final as their favourite dance

Average Score

Helen and Gorka have amassed a total of 428 points from 13 routines making for an average of 32.9. This is the lowest average of the four finalists and is also lower than Semi Final eliminated couple Will and Nancy

Number of times in the Dance Off

Helen and Gorka have never faced a dance off

Can they win?

If anyone is going to stop the Hamza and Jowita train it is Helen and Gorka. They’ve been on the rise the last few weeks and whilst they are, at the time of writing, sitting second in my poll of who you want to win with 38.62% crucially they are just a few percentage points behind Hamza and Jowita and with a strong final they could pick up the support they need to be declared champions

Will you be supporting Helen and Gorka? You can let me and the community know over on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Each time you join the discussions on the socials you earn a chance to win a £20 Amazon UK voucher. You can still vote in the finalists poll below telling me who you want to win the series.

Stay tuned as later we’ll be finishing this series with Fleur and Vito

Strictly Come Dancing 2022 Finalists – Hamza and Jowita

Here we are with the second part in my four part guide where I look at each of the finalists and their Strictly journeys so far. As always I run this series in the order of qualification for the final and so we continue with Hamza and Jowita

Worst Dance

You have to go all the way back to week 2 for their lowest scoring routine. Their Jive scored 24 points with the judges with Craig in particular being unimpressed (4,7,6,7)

Best Dance

Hamza and Jowita have fallen short of a maximum on two occasions with Craig (surprise surprise) being the denier. The first occasion was in week 4 when their Salsa wowed the judges and will be performed again in tonight’s final as the judges pick (9,10,10,10)

There was a long wait for their second near maximum which came during last weekend’s semi final and their Charleston had everyone bar Craig reaching for their 10s (9,10,10,10)

Average Score

Hamza and Jowita have amassed a total of 453 points from 13 routines making for the same average of 34.8 as Molly and Carlos however Hamza and Jowita have scored one point more than their fellow finalists making them marginally the best dancers on average

Number of times in the Dance Off

Hamza and Jowita are one of two finalists to have never faced a dance off

Can they win?

Hamza and Jowita have topped most of my polls this series including the current one asking which of the finalists you want to win which they at the time of writing have 41.61% in. This series really seems to be theirs to lose and currently looks like a two horse race between them and Helen and Gorka.

But Helen and Gorka are on the rise and have actually swapped places with Hamza and Jowita in the current poll on a few occasions so the glitterball is not Hamza and Jowita’s quite yet and they need to come out with a strong final to maintain the slight advantage they have in the public vote if they are going to win

Will you be supporting Hamza and Jowita? You can let me and the community know over on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Each time you join the discussions on the socials you earn a chance to win a £20 Amazon UK voucher. You can still vote in the finalists poll below telling me who you want to win the series.
