Strictly Come Dancing 2017 – Week 10 Discussion/Poll

Strictly has left Blackpool behind but for the 7 remaining couples the complete carnage that will be the pasodoblathon (yes that is a word….. just ask the BBC) awaits.

But who shone for you this week and should make it into next week’s quarter final and who shouldn’t have bothered coming back from Blackpool?

If you’re on the site waiting for the spoiler, and why wouldn’t you be it’s why we’re all here, can I please ask that you are considerate to other users when refreshing the site. Last week one single user refreshed the site a ridiculous 1500 times according to my host which may have contributed towards the downtime. By refreshing less you’re helping not only other people view the spoiler but also yourselves. If the site isn’t working and I can’t get on it, I can’t post the spoiler!

Best thing to do is to join the communities on Facebook or Twitter and as soon as the spoiler gets posted alerts will be sent to both those networks. There will be no real time spoiler updates this week as they haven’t been helping with the downtime. There will just be the full result as soon as I have it!

In the event of the site going down again like it did last week it may also be best to just check in the morning. The next step up in terms of a web hosting solution moves me from paying tens of pounds a month to host this site to hundreds and it’s simply not affordable for me at the moment. Strictly Come Dancing 2017 – Week 10 Songs/Dances

Blackpool and last weekend is but a distant memory (thankfully if you were on twitter) and the remaining 7 couples are now focused on week 10 which not only will bring the regular learned dance but will also bring the complete and utter carnage that will be the Pasodoblathon (no that isn’t a word but its what the BBC are calling it). But who is dancing and to what song? Never fear because I can reveal

Alexandra and Gorka are going to be dancing the Rumba to Halo by Beyoncé
Debbie and Giovanni will dance the Argentine Tango to Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera
Gemma and Aljaž will Samba to The River of Dreams by Billy Joel
Mollie and AJ will perform the Quickstep to The Baseballs’ version of Umbrella by Rihanna
Susan and Kevin will dance the American Smooth to Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin
Davood and Nadiya will Waltz to With You I’m Born Again by Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright
Joe and Katya will Quickstep to Jumpin’ Jack by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

In a bizarre twist on the songs and dances post I have some winners to tell you about. Sorry for the delay in drawing last week’s competition but I’ve had a lot on. Well done to Jeff Chilton on Twitter and Amanda Giles on Facebook both of whom have won £20 Amazon UK vouchers. The winner here at the home of the Strictly Spoiler has not got in touch with me as yet so check your emails. You could be a winner.

Anyone who won a voucher in September/October of this series should have now received their vouchers which were sent out earlier today. November winners will receive their prizes in the next batch towards Christmas time.

I’m also trying to raise funds at the moment to fund a dedicated server for the last few weeks of this series which will hopefully allow me to keep the site up at peak times rather than it going down as it has done the last two weeks. Please only donate to the fund if you have the money to spare. Jonnie Peacock Eliminated From Strictly Come Dancing 2017

As revealed in last night’s Strictly Spoiler Jonnie and Oti have been eliminated after losing in the dance off with Debbie and Giovanni.

Apologies once again for those of you who had site issues last night. I’ve talked about it quite a bit here although some of you on Twitter took issue with my explanation that it was down to constant site refreshes and my suggestion that people should ease down on the refreshing of the site at peak times. I am working with my web host to see if the issues can be solved although that solution may involve upgrading the hosting to a dedicated server which will be VERY expensive and may be completely unaffordable for me especially since we have 3 spoiler weekends left. If you want to help out the server fund which is currently about 1/3 of the way there you can check out the donation page Any contributions would be gratefully received but are entirely optional and please only consider donating if you can afford to do so.

I promised you some winners today but again real life and all the dramas with the hosting and the backlash I received on some social networks got in the way and I needed some time out. I will get the competition drawn in the next couple of days and announce it on the songs/dances post.
