Strictly Come Dancing 2022 – Week 8 Spoilers

Blackpool was on everyone’s minds with the 9 remaining couples wanting nothing more than a damp November in the vegas of the north. One of them doesn’t need to pack a bucket and spade though and I can reveal that

Tony and Tyler had to dance off. Tony withdrew due to a pulled hamstring and was eliminated

In 2021 I spent over £3k in hosting costs to keep this site up at peak times which is a ludicrous amount at the best of times never mind during a cost of living crisis! Please only do so if you can afford to do so especially during this cost of living crisis and there is no obligation on anyone to help me out this way.

  1. the scoring system is manipulated week to week, leaving a handful already preselected to perform in the final. It is so obvious each week to predict the judges scores. Take this week for example, they are steering people towards Fleur and Mollie. l dont find some of their remarks helpful, because they make then too personal, another example, Craig will state something on th elines of, ‘I didn’t care for that dance much, it wasnt to my taste’ and he scores it on his ‘personal taste’ not on the actual dance performed, which 9/10 is clearly a good dance, because the other judges scored it with far higher marks. It’s not about him, he is supposed to be professional and score the dance, not base it on his likes & dislikes.

  2. I really enjoyed Tony but the judges seemed to make it clear with the scoring that the dancers deserved Blackpool. I still do not understand why when two or more couples are at the top, the couple in third only gets one point less, it should be based on your position. So if you are tenth of ten you can only get one point, not three or four depending on how many people tied. It skews the points in favour of the bottom dancers who get more points as a result.

    1. There is a reason they handle ties the way they do and it stems from a situation in 2008 I think it was where due to ties on the leaderboard it was impossible for the public to save the person who was bottom with the judges. They as a result cancelled the dance off and put all couples through with all votes done so far carried forward. Following that they changed it to how it is now so the public can always save everyone
