Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – Betting Update

With the line up now complete it’s time to take a look at the betting with Coral and see who the early favourites are.

Outright Winner (Each Way 1/5 odds a place 1,2,3)

Claudia Fragapane – 7/2
Will Young – 4/1
Danny Mac – 6/1
Laura Whitmore – 7/1
Louise Redknapp – 10/1
Daisy Lowe – 10/1
Ore Oduba – 11/1
Greg Rutherford – 14/1
Robert Rinder – 16/1
Melvin Odoom – 20/1
Naga Munchetty – 20/1
Anastacia Newkirk – 25/1
Tameka Empson – 33/1
Lesley Joseph – 100/1
Ed Balls – 100/1

Claudia is the early favourite with punters hoping she will follow in the footsteps of fellow gymnast Louis Smith who won the series in 2012. Will Young who was the early favourite until Claudia was announced isn’t far behind her with the punters. At the other end of the book Lesley Joseph and Ed Balls are the outsiders both on 100-1. At the age of 70 it’s hard to see how Lesley will last more than a few weeks but older contestants have surprised us before so you never know and her popularity may keep her in longer than her 100-1 price would suggest. Ed spectacularly lost his seat last year and is widely expected to lose his place on Strictly sooner rather than later.
