We’re very much in the business end of the competition now with the Quarter Finals just one week away. But before that we’ve got week 10 and in a bizarre move, The BBC appear to have listened to viewers and axed the danceathon that has been plaguing this point in the competition for some time.
But who deserves a place in next week’s Quarter Final and who should have stayed in Blackpool? You can let me know your thoughts about tonight’s show right here in the comments section (make sure you are clicked into the title of an individual post rather than viewing the homepage archives otherwise you will not see the comments section) or you can head on over to Facebook or Twitter to let me know your thoughts there. Full details will be posted on Facebook however the competition will work like this for this week only. The coin toss will determine a winning social network like normal. If Twitter win that coin toss there will be a £50 voucher given away on Twitter like normal and one given away on Facebook too. If Facebook win the coin toss two £50 vouchers will be given away on Facebook
As always I will be opening a poll here when all the couples have danced so you can pick your favourites this week. You will be able to select up to 3 options like normal and this will give you something to do while you are refreshing the site while you wait for the spoiler to come in.

The spoiler will probably land some time around 10pm tonight as we should be having comparatively early spoilers for the rest of the series now (although saying that the week 10 spoiler last year landed after midnight and was not confirmed until the morning so don’t take that as gospel). As soon as I know it will be posted here though so you guys do not need to bombard me with messages on Facebook or Twitter asking if I have heard yet. Your messages will get lost in the noise of hundreds of notifications on a Saturday Night.

Well Bruno singing was a surprise
I thought a score of 4 for Alex’s Argentine Tango was outrageous. The guys starting to make a bit of a fool of himself, playing up to his ‘grumpy man’ image. All it does is mislead the public: not fair.
I agree with Rob. It’s as though the Judges want their favourites to go through… and they clearly don’t want Saffron, Alex, and Emma anywhere near the Final. Giving 8s to that shapeless stomping about of Chris Ramsey’s was a travesty.

Emma made mistakes, Saffron and Alex’s technique wasn’t great. We know Latin isn’t Saffron’s strong point and Alex didn’t point her toes once during that routine.
