Apologies this is a touch on the late side but I’ve been hard at work giving the site a make over and dodging the press of course. It’s the Semi Final in a couple of days and the couples have not one but two dances to learn this week. But who will be dancing what and to what music? The BBC revealed all a couple of days ago:
- Claudia and AJ will be dancing the Rumba to ‘Bleeding Love’ by Leona Lewis and the Quickstep to ‘When You’re Smiling’ by Andy Williams
- Danny and Oti will be dancing the Salsa to the track ‘Vivir Mi’ Vida by Marc Anthony and the American Smooth to ‘Misty Blue’ by Dorothy Moore
- Louise and Kevin will be dancing the Samba to ‘Brazil’ by Thiago Thomé and the Tango to ‘Glad All Over’ by the Dave Clark Five
- Ore and Joanne will be dancing the Quickstep to ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’ by Jet and the Argentine Tango to ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ by Kylie Minogue

Looks like it will be a tough week for Claudia!
I’m not sure about the music choices for Ore, don’t seem to go with the dances, but we’ll see.
I think the song choices for Danny are great and should contribute well to the performances.
I wish they were more consistent with the music, it really impacts the overall enjoyment of a routine. Sometimes it fits perfectly but often they just seem to randomly pick popular songs (that either don’t fit with the dance or the style of the SCD band).
