Strictly 2015 Finalists – Georgia and Giovanni

Time for our final look at the finalists ahead of tomorrow’s final and this time it’s the turn of Georgia and Giovanni.

Best Dance

Georgia and Giovanni’s best routine came in week 9 for their Charleston which scored 39 points with all the judges except Craig reaching for their 10 paddles (9,10,10,10)

Worst Dance

We have to go back to the distant past of week 2 to find their lowest scoring routine. Their Waltz scored 25 points (6,6,6,7)

Average Score

Once again we’ll ignore the Quickstepathon which means Georgia and Giovanni have amassed 428 points over 13 routines making for an average score of 32.9

Number Of Times In The Dance Off

Georgia and Giovanni have survived one dance off this series in week 11. Their Foxtrot scored 36 (9,9,9,9) however despite being joint 2nd on the leaderboard they still found themselves in the dance off. The judges unanimously saved them over opponents Helen and Aljaž

Odds Of Winning

At the time of writing Georgia and Giovanni are 6-1 second favourites to lift the glitterball. If you fancy a flutter Coral will give new customers a £20 free bet when you stake £5 on Strictly or any other market.

13% of visitors to this site want them to win after last week’s Semi Final in the poll currently running, again at the time of writing.

Can they do it? Well if anyone is going to stop the juggernaut that is Jay and Aliona it surely has to be Georgia and Giovanni. It would take some doing though but we have had upsets in the final before and with many voters voting purely on the merits of the final anything could still happen. They’re my personal favourites this year and I’m hoping they do it, not least because I’ve got £10 on them (at 5-1 sadly rather than the current price of 6-1).

  1. I like Giovanni a lot. He is sincere and mature and manages Georgia marvellously, and his choreography is excellent. (Not that I have the least idea about choreography and can only go off the feeling it gives me to watch them.) She is a wonderful dancer and this is my choice couple to win — now I can’t vote for Anita and Gleb. Sulk. Sulk. Georgia has done some beautiful dances. If I can be a bit mean though, her baby voice needs attention, it does her no favours.

  2. I’ve really enjoyed seeing Georgia realise that she’s a pretty good dancer after going under the radar for the first 8 weeks or so. For me she has the best ballroom frame of the female finalists & is a joy to watch, glad she’s doing her Charleston again, best one ever if she can nail all the moves tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing her & Jay, at their best they are mesmerising, good luck to all the contestants but especially those two….Keeeep Dancing!

    1. Have to agree with you about Georgia ‘ s ballroom frame. The problem is I just can’t warm to either of them. This annoys me no end as I do think she is a great dancer. The Charleston is not my favourite dance, but hers was the best this season. Good luck to all the contestants. Goodnight.
