Jamelia Eliminated From Strictly Come Dancing 2015

As revealed in last night’s Strictly Spoiler Jamelia and Tristan have been eliminated after losing in their controversial 5th Dance Off with Peter and Janette.

Going to be a lot of discussion about the Dance Off tonight as not only did the judges vote completely against their previous marking and the performance in the Dance Off but also the result went down like a lead balloon with the Tower Ballroom audience according to the spoiler mole however thanks to the miracle of TV editing you won’t see that and you may even see a standing ovation for Peter’s dance off which didn’t actually happen at the time!

Anyway I digress. Should you wish to relive Jamelia’s time in Strictly you can do so in the videos below however bear in mind you’ve already seen 5 of these dances twice:

Please help fight the BBC’s attempts to censor the Strictly Spoiler. I really need each and every person who visits The Strictly Spoiler to help out with this. If every person who visited this site over a Strictly weekend signed we would have tens of thousands of signatures and the BBC or Facebook would have to take notice. Please, please, please help out and sign and share the petition.

You can’t like The Strictly Spoiler on Facebook any more because the BBC don’t want you to however you can still follow me on Twitter to keep up to date with all things Strictly Spoiler. You can also like and share all the posts on all major social networks and google+ using the buttons above and below. Especially Facebook just to annoy the BBC!

Finally please vote in this week’s poll to tell me who your favourites are. As always you can choose up to 3 options.

  1. I have lost a great deal of respect for those three judges who voted to keep Andre. They blatantly abused their roles as judges. At least Len knew who truly deserved to be saved. I felt so sorry for Jamelia. Is it impossible to just have ONE unbiased, fair and a non-fixed reality contest on TV!????? I am very disappointed Strictly! Not sure i’ll be such an avid watcher in the future. This show is slowly morphing into the FiX factor!

    1. Yep you summed it up for me. Very disappointed in judges this entire season and those god awful vts. Never thought I’d say it but it’s definitely losing me. Wonder did Simon Cowell plant a spy to make all the disastrous changes and bring strictly down lol

  2. Really unfair vote tonight. Based on their performance in both the dance and the dance off, Jamelia was clearly better than Peter, and that is meant to be the sole criteria for deciding which stays and who goes. Yes, Peter has been the better dancer in previous weeks, but tonight he was the poorer of the two and only Len can hold his head up. Shame on Darcy, Bruno and Craig.

  3. I’ve read a message from someone who was in the audience and apparently they re-recorded part of Peter’s dance off and told the audience they had to give a standing ovation as the first time the applause was not so good. They also edited out the audience’s disapproval of the decision. As for Bruno saying he would like Peter to stay and nothing else. He might just as well have said to Jamailia [? spelling], ‘I like Peter more than I like you’. Not professional at all.

  4. A way to minimise the clear bias would be to adopt the gymnastics/skating/diving model. Have six judges (possibly by adding Karen Hardy and Anton) and after receiving their votes eliminate the highest and the lowest. Publicising the voting figures for each celebrity would add clarity.
    Simples!!
The programme has lost the entertainment element and we are all becoming cynical. The vts are boring; I know they have to get the sets ready (why are they so elaborate?) but a view of their training during the week would help.

    1. I made similar comments about the VT’s on Twitter during the live show. They’ve just become stupid and irrelevant. They need to move back to as Brucie used to say “and here they are in training”

  5. Quite disgraceful manipulation by the BBC; you could see the judges were unhappy and the body language was very interesting! I hope Peter is happy that someone arranged for him to stay when he clearly should have been eliminated.

  6. the problem is in the way the judges’ dance-off votes are evaluated. Darcy, Bruno and Craig KNEW that if just one of them were to vote to kick out Peter Andre, then Len’s supervote would go to Jameelia and Peter would be out. I think that is why they voted 3-0 for Peter. Because Len’s supervote is simply too powerful.

  7. Bit of a curved ball here, do you think Jamelia might have asked them to let her go as she was fed up with being in the dance-off all the time and it had worn her out as it would suggest the viewers did not want her to stay? Just a thought.

  8. I am in full agreement with Jenny 23/11 as I am sure that jamelia was fed up of being in the dance off most weeks. As for the judges decisions on the dance off they have showed themselves to be utterly spineless individuals with the exception of Len. It was obvious that Peters dance was inferior to jamelia but for whatever reason the three stooges announced in favour of him. Travesty indeed. I am sure it was done on the basis of the dances to date and the popularity of the individual and hence the viewing figures. Sorry Strictly you have lost one viewer and most likely many could follow. Why on earth could you not judge on merit I do not know but in voting for Peter the three of you have shown yourselves up to be one of the proverbial “yes ” set. Disappointing and downright wrong.

  9. Gonna play devil’s advocate here…

I went to filming two weeks ago and you are expressly told to go WILD for both dances in the dance off, lots of whoops and cheers, no boos and standing ovation etc. We had to re-record the pro dance as we didn’t go wild enough when one dancer appeared…

Still agree re the quality of the two dances in the this particular dance off, but overall I would suggest P has far more potential (but what are the judges basing their decision on? This is possibly the underlying issue here. Pure dance off or dance off plus prior performances…?)

    1. I agree that there is an underlying issue on what the judges are basing their decision on. The whole point of the dance off is that it is supposed to be a final chance to stay in the competition if you perform better than your opponent and we’re told time and time again that the slate is wiped clean and the judges will be judging that performance only.

But that’s not what happened this week. 3 judges, whether they want to admit it or not, put Peter through based on his previous performances or potential. This is fair enough it’s their choice but if they are going to do that then what is the point in the dance off? Other than to drag out an already overly long results show

      1. I think it’s unnecessary – even as a massive Strictly fan, I always skip through the dance off and just watch the final result. One more dance isn’t going to change my mind

        DOWN WITH THE DANCE OFF

  10. “and you may even see a standing ovation for Peter’s dance off which didn’t actually happen at the time!” You were spot on there. Apparently a BBC spokesperson has said that “after Peter’s dance, for which he received a standing ovation, we reshot some audience reactions, which is normal when recording” or something on those lines! Talk about spin! At least he has tacitly admitted that Sunday happens on Saturday!
